The aims of the first Regional Conference on Optical character recognition and Natural language processing technologies for ASEAN languages (ONA 2017) is to promote research in Optical character recognition for complex scripts and Natural language processing for ASEAN Languages. This conference provides a place and opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss current issues, and share experiences among researchers, professionals, and practitioners.
The ONA 2017 Conference will be held on 07-08 December 2017 in Cambodia, at the Cambodian Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC) in Phnom Penh.
The conference is organized by the Cambodian Natural Language Processing Consortium and hosted by the National Institute of Post Telecommunications and ICT (NIPTICT). Funding for the conference is kindly provided by SPIDER Center through the Open Institute.
Thanks to the support from SPIDER, participation in the conference will be free. Limited financial resources will be available to cover traveling expenses of some of the speakers whose full papers have been accepted. All accepted papers will be published at a free-access research repository.
